Dear C. S. Lewis Blog Fans,

Sorry to have been away so long! It has been an interesting year for Lewis Studies, and I am now just climbing out of a yearlong editorial project, four volumes for Praeger Press, that will contain the best, most original, most compelling scholarship on the life, works, and legacy of Lewis in print.

In subsequent entries, I will let you in on the scope and depth of this exciting project, but for now let me just say that it has been a pleasure working with the key Lewis scholars who have contributed to the four volumes–names such as Don King, David Downing, Wayne Martindale, Marjorie Lamp Mead, Lyle Dorsett, and Diana Glyer as well as new talent like Scott Calhoun, Greg Anderson, Alice Cook, David Bratman, Jane Hippolito, Mona Dunckel, Karen Rowe, and Michael Edwards.

The wave of Narnian clamor and clang has subsided, and we can now return to some consideration of other Lewis themes, including his prophetic social criticism. And, yes, i do need to write that rebuttal on “Inklingsism.” Selah.
